| Hello and thanks for taking time to find out a bit more about me. I studied graphic design at York many years ago, and then followed
my career from a small design studio to big publishing companies, and in 1999 I
went freelance, setting up under my former business name, Atrium
Images.
Since then, I have worked on projects large and small. I don't have just one style,
which means I love working on a diverse range of projects for an equally
diverse range of clients, from Woman’s Own to Heineken.
Magazine design is my true love, and is an industry I'm always involved in. I can write and sub as well as lay out exciting and beautiful editorial pages.
My success is built on my friendly, no-nonsense 'can do' attitude.
My ethos has always been the same: I’m passionate about what I do... I
value the lasting relationships I have with my clients and above all I
believe strongly that my work must have a practical purpose in the real
world.
Therefore, I design for YOU and not for my own portfolio.
I listen to what you want and then take your wishes and spin them into
something fabulously real that you’ll love and that works brilliantly
for you. I like to work collaboratively with you and I’m never precious
about my work – if you want amends, then that’s fine!
I don’t run a fancy design studio or drive an impressive car with the overheads to match. I’m just a hard-working, creative and practical designer who likes to get the job done – on brand, and on budget – so that means better value for you. I'm based in North Yorkshire, between York and Leeds, though I have clients all over the UK and some much further afield.
Although I work independently, I have built up a team of trusted
professionals around me, from writers and photographers to printers and
web designers who enable me to offer a full service to you should you require it.
Please take time to browse my portfolio, read my case studies and see what my clients think about working with me. This is the kind of success I could bring to your project, too. So, if you want to know more, just give me a shout! |
